Overview
The South Carolina State University Real Estate Foundation (SCSUREF) is established, organized, and operated with the sole objective of benefiting the University. Its activities and management are strictly aligned with this purpose, ensuring that all actions taken serve the interests of the University community.
Core Functions
SCSUREF is responsible for acquiring, constructing, financing, pledging, improving, maintaining, operating, managing, and leasing housing facilities. These facilities are designated for use by students, and faculty of the University, supporting their residential needs and contributing to a vibrant campus environment.
Property Management
In addition to housing, SCSUREF may also acquire and manage other real property, as well as related personal property. All such property is maintained and operated exclusively for the benefit and support of the University, reinforcing SCSUREF’s commitment to its foundational purpose.
Meet the Board of Directors
The corporate powers of the South Carolina State University Real Estate Foundation (SCSUREF) are exercised either directly by, or under the authority of, the organization. All business activities and affairs of the corporation are overseen and managed under the guidance and direction of the SCSUREF Board of Directors. This Board is responsible for ensuring that the corporation’s operations align with its foundational purpose of benefiting the University.
